So I had this horrible dream that I had gotten into my boyfriends truck but when I actually got in the truck it was so dark inside all I could see was his shiloette. We started driving and he took me home and the entire time i could never see his face even when we got to my house. He came in to kiss me good night and i felt like i was choking and couldnt breath. It was then i realized it wasnt him in my dream and when i woke up I realized whatever it was in my dream was standing in my room and it shrunk in size a bit and then disappeared. Any ideas if it was just me having a very bad dream or something else?

Did the dark thing spiral down or float down in a constant motion to the floor and disappear?

To see demons in your dream, represents ignorance, negativity, distress or your shadow self. It also forewarns of overindulgence and letting lust give way to your better judgment. As a result, your physical and mental health may suffer.
So perhaps you need to keep a closer eye on your boyfriend.

It's just a type of hallucination (hypnogogic hallucination? hypnopompic? something along those lines...) that occurs when your brain is between the sleep/wake stage. I forget the exact term for it. There's a great book on such things called "Sex and the Supernatural". And no...it's not a 'dirty' book.

Do you think your boyfriend may be hiding something from you? Maybe you feel like you don't know him well enough? I'm not saying he's a psycho or anything, but maybe there is side to him you don't like?

Ohhh dreeeeam demon... I believe we can make it through the ni-ight!

Dreams come from your brain. Ask your brain what your dream means, and it'll say "you know just as well as I do... which is far better than anybody else would know."
