of course, you can buy them for a cheep price/ year...but what if you want to create your own? how do you do that? can anyone help me...?

I do know about subdomains and personal homepages that you can create...BUT, there are firms that create those domains and sell them to you...lYahoo! and Google created their own, they didn't buy them...how do they do that?

actually free domains name are not available you gotta pay for them
but instead free subdomain names are available

like co.nr .tk
i have created my web on www.justutkarsh.co.nr

search google for co.nr

You want to Host a domain.! Get the Appropriate Server OS. E.g windows server or linux Make a web server. You will need a ISP to do this. But it will be free to host it. remember server needs to be on a good connection as it will take up alot of bandwith and the website will have speed issues.... If in doubt search online. I could help you more, but your question asks how to host.! not how to set it up. thanks

I think the only way of doing it is to run your own server and DNS server. you then create your domaine name within your DNS server and then you need to have all the other DNS servers on the internet updated with your domain name pointing to your IP of your server

try freewebs.com its really easy to make a website there. and then if u dont want to type in www.freewebs.com/urdomainname. then just go to something called .tk and then u would just type in www.urdomainname.tk
