This is also a math question...with ratios.

2x +4y = xy

So, a ratio of 2:4

How many grams with x to form the same compound?

2x / 4y is the same as 12x / ???

You simply forget about the x's and y's for a moment...

2/4 is the same as 12 / 24.

So, you'll need 24y.
