That's hard to tell and I don't know for sure. It is definitely either Paul McCartney or John Lennon, but McCartney was involved with Wings for a while, and Lennon had The Plastic Ono band for a while, too.

You'd have to find out which albums were with their bands and which were solo. I think Wings sold more than Lennon's albums did, at least for a while.

Paul, he lived the longest and Ringo doesn't have a large output. Add that a lot of people have BAD taste in music.
The first "ex Beatle" solo album was the best.
