Hi, my name is Philip.
I just moved from Europe and now I live in Michigan...
I grew up with graffiti, here's the thing I started art when I was about 4 and by the age of 10 I started sketching and by the age of 11 I started graffiti,........................ and still doing it.

PLEASE PEOPLE, when impressionism or surrealism came out what did you guys do.... said it looked as if a year old did it .... and now take graffiti, millions of people like it do it or want to... its increasing popularity and companies/associations help things such as anti smoking campaigns (thetruth.org who has tv commercials) GRAFFITI isnt just illegal darn it!!! It's mostly seen ilegally because thats where they want it to be to mark their turf or whatsoever.... jeeeeeez

Oh by the way, its legal if you do it on canvas or on an approved wall that someone tells you you can, or your own... look for a wall of fame.. (legal place to spray)

Never will it be legal completely because that means defacing etc... would be legal

Graffiti in a sense is legal you just have to get permision from the owners of the surface you want to paint on.
Tagging things without permission will never be legal because people will never be allowed to do what ever they want to other people's property.
There's no law saying people aren't alowed to decorate their building with graffiti.

The art of graffiti is legal. It's just not legal when it is used to destroy other people's property.

I'm sorry~I don't think it ever will be. There is a lot of time that goes into trying to eliminate that, such as special paint etc.
