I know a LOT of fans of Fruits Basket also seem to enjoy Ouran High School Host Club. it's got the humor and the romance and gets VERY zany.
if you want something like InuYasha try some other Rumiko Takahashi titles like Ranma 1/2 or Lum/Urusai Yatsura. I'll admit my favorite Rumiko Takahashi series is the Mermaid Saga, tho, but that's pretty different from most of her other stuff.
if you want something with a historical Japanese setting kind of like InuYasha with comedy and romance aspects to it as well as action you may want to check out Shonen Onmyouji.

~Girl Got Game-Its so good! Its about a girl named Kyo Aizawa: She is a girl who wants a cute boyfriend and to wear the lovely Seisyu High School girl's uniform. But since her father had an Achilles injury, she was made to fulfill her father's dream. She attends Seisyu as a boy and proves to be an invaluable member of the boys' basketball team (despite the fact she is the shortest member).
~Hana-Kimi-similar story line as Girl got game but i think girl got game is so much better. Mizuki Ashiya, a Japanese girl who lives in the United States. One day, she sees a track and field competition on TV, and becomes attracted to one of the competitors, Izumi Sano, competing in the high jump. She begins to idolize the young athlete and eventually transfers to Japan to attend the same school that Sano attends. There is a catch, however-- Sano attends an all-boys high school, named Osaka Gakuen, and Mizuki must disguise herself as a boy to enter.
