I find that weird. Every other CD or DVD burner i've bought before has had a red and a green light alternating. When it's reading a disc, it's green. When it's writing to the disc, it's red. This new Liteon drive i bought has just a green light flashing, for reading OR writing.

I've never had a Liteon drive. Is this quirky design flaw a foreshadowing of things to come? In other words, did i make a bad purchase, or are these good drives?

I'ver never had (or seen for that matter) as drive that had different colored lights for Read\Writing.

Anyway, you've nothing to worry about if it's reading & writing correctly.....

BTW, Liteon is a very good brand of burner
