Leave it alone. I don't have that much patience.

Sure why not?

I'm in no hurry that I need to be the first one to answer every question damn it!

Besides, the way I look at it, if they took the time and made the effort to ask a long question with several sub-questions and extra information then why not take the time and make the effort to read everything the way it was intended, don't you think?

Same goes for long answers, to be perfectly honest.

Does this answer your question?

I sure hope so buddy!

Take it easy!

Oh, I thought you meant if they had actually written a book, like for real, outside of Yahoo Answers. I was thinking, how can you tell?

If it's written in understandable english then I usually read it but if their spelling and/or grammar is atrocious or they use cutesy spellings like cuz and kewl or they barely speak english then I don't read it. I also don't like to have to dig to find out what the real question they're asking is---that is a pain in the butt.

Sometimes I leave it alone sometimes I'll answer it...if I can read through the whole thing....but that's only if something they said captured my attention.

Outside of P&S, I pass on those that are bookish and complicated. They use the wrong venue for some of the problems they got.

that depends on the nature of the question. sometimes the long ones can be intriguing. more often though, i look at the 1st bit and find it to be frivolous and i move on.

If I can read it then I answer it. Unless I can't answer it then I leave

It depends. I have been known to explain TOO much in my questions. I guess it is so I get the answers that I am fishing for. : )
