i would like to know how long that takes, between the protest and its remedy. i have contested only 3 violations, but never get anything more than a "we'll look into it" form letter.
the points are irrelevant. i feel more as if my reputation is being damaged, and i take it far too personally.

I complained about the stupidity of the violation - accused of spamming - the question asked for hotel recommendations and I had the audacity to actually name a hotel! I received a letter saying YAT was looking into it - that was in December - haven't heard a word about it since.

Yes, 1 time I posted a queestion about books in the wrong catagory and it got a violation email and my question was deleted and so I looked at the community guide lines and this is what they said
"CATEGORIZATION: Categorize your question in the appropriate category. Yahoo! reserves the right to re-categorize questions it determines to be categorized incorrectly."
Nothing about deleting my question so I emailed them and then I looked at the community guide lines a few days later and this is what they said
"CATEGORIZATION: Categorize your question in the appropriate category. Yahoo! Answers reserves the right to re-categorize or delete questions it determines to be categorized incorrectly."

YES! Ive gotten those and For nothing at all! I checked to see what my prob. was, and there was nothing that I violated! It gets me soooooooooooo mad!
