Woodstock '69 signaled the peak of the "hippie/free love" social movement that radically blended new sounds of rock n' roll, fashion design, social behavior/more changes (espicially among the teenagers of the era) and the extreme vocal political protests against US Government and the Vietnam war.

Basically, Woodstock '69 signaled that social stage where all this historical stuff made notice, made the top of the roller coaster hill.....and now, the train cars were about to "move on" and plunge downhill into the unknown future.

And what a "cool down" it was....something that took nearly five or so years for us to move ahead and face--around 1975--where all that moved on....and a new era was fast approaching.

But to this day, we hold dear the memories, the music....and yes--we even wonder what the hell we were thinking ( or "stoned out" on ) wearing those clothes.....when we look back to Woodstock 1969.

It was the largest outdoor music event in it's time. It was also the beginning of the commercialization of the 60's hippie, flower power and rock culture. The movie and the album paved the way for advertising and media aimed at that youth market.

It was cultural revolution. The youth were coming to age in a time of free thought and free will. The music reflected that. Then the concert gates were over run and it turned into a real celebration of freedom and rock.
