From my experience Boston is a total bust, you can get about 5 minutes per spot downtown and don't be surprised if the cops write tickets. I played the ignorant out of towner and got off with a bunch of warnings, but a few of the locals showing me around got tickets and/or courtdates. If you want to skate in a downtown urban environment within the law, I'd recommend saving up and taking a trip to Europe, world class spots without the hassle of American laws.

most cities its illegal to skate in the downtown areas. you can go to jail. they allow skating in skate parks only.

I know in Hawaii we cannot skate in town. My cousin got a ticket for skating to work.
