I can remember ( or i think i can) watching a black and white version of the Wizard of Oz, but there was no scarecrow or tin man, just an abandoned hospital with dorothy and her mother accompained by a lot of clocks, dorothy was sent there after her mother forced her to go because of the story she told about the land of oz, or perhaps it was her aunt?. She went into an induced dream where she did follow a yellow brick road and i can't remeber whether this was in colour... it sounds crazy i know but i can't stop thinking bout it and i hope i didnt make it up! i have always had weird dreams and im praying this isnt one of them! any help is greatly appreciated

Yes. I t was called Return to Oz.
Dorothy was taken to a mental hospital, there was a machine like a clock that resembled a face. Dorothy is resuced by a girl and sent to Oz.
Oz has been taken over by the Nome King, Dorothy's new friends were a clockwork robot, a chicken and a pumpkin man.
There was an evil witch called Mombie who had a collection of heads she wore.
I can't remember much else about the movie but I enjoyed it.

I remember watching a "darker" version called Return To Oz which was a sequel to the original.

The movie you're thinking of is "Return to Oz". It was not supposed to be a horror movie, but it was definitely dark. She returns to Oz after receiving electro-shock treatments.

I thought the original Wizard of Oz was a horrer that the TV companies dragged up every christmas. I soooo hated it.
