and my father found out, and he's taking my cellphone away if they answer with any complaints... it was an answering machine. I was using the *67 (to make themn NOT know who it was) when I called and I called on my cellphone. WILL THEY SUE ME? what should i do? will they find out?

it was a complaint but at the end i complimented the company too... it was stupid... well, it was a prank, of course it was stupid.

Even if they did (they won't) they aren't gonna waste their time calling you back and they definetely aren't gonna sue you. They'll probably hear it and just sigh or maybe even find it funny. It's no big deal

Well you should not prank call companys. I think that would get you into some trouble. But they will not sue you. They will try to get something out of you though, depending on what the owner of the company should do. Good Luck, and stick with pranking friends. And yes they will find out, it was an answering machine!

How old are you and why did you do that?
If your under 10 years old then I can see why.Most kids play on the phone.It is annoying to the person on the other end tho as you will find out when you grow up and get a prank call yourself.
You should talk to your dad about it,apologize and promise him you wont do that stuff again.You need to earn your cell phone back.

I work of a company that gets a lot of prank calls. We usually call the number back, talk to an adult. Everytime you call we put your name and number in our system. At that time, if you've constantly called we do report the number and take it up with your local police department. As the owner of that number, the company has every right to take it as far as they want.
Don't prank them anymore, it's immature and the people on the other line have heard it before. It's not funny.

If it was just a harmless prank call, they will probably just delete your message and forget about it.....unless you called in a bomb threat or something like that.
You could call them back, using *67 and apologize just to be on the safe side. Only when you apologize, talk to a real person.

Don't worry I don't think companies sue for that. Just don't do it again I think there is not too many people who has not at one time made a prank call included doing it to someone they know .

Depends on what was said.
If it was something harmless, they will likely ignore it. If there were any threats made, it could be considered criminal and could possibly go as far as charges being filed.
By the way... even with *67, there are ways to find out who called you.

You're fine. My 45 year old husband made a prank call to a high school for God's sake and accused the principal of farting around the students and no one ever called.
No one will sue you. They'll probably delete it half way through.

I think that there will be a very lengthy trial with lots of testimony and you will be given a life sentance or the death penalty. Find yourself a very good lawyer. Good luck.
