When I first noticed it a few weeks ago, I brushed it off as a swollen muscle, but it has gotten bigger over the last week or so and is now hard as a rock and about the size of a ping pong ball.

I have no medical degree...but you need to get that checked out asap by a doctor....could be a lymph gland swollen because of an infection or some strenueous type of activity caused it...but I sure wouldn't let this go for long....safe side is get it checked out since it has increased in size...Good Luck

yes. I would check it out asap. they may want to xray &/or use ultrasound. Once the cause for the condition has been identified, treament can be determined. If it should be cancerous, you may want to check out Cancer Treatments of America. They are on line. If it is not, a licensed homeopathic practioner may be another viable option. Good luck.

It is probably something as simple as an ingrown hair. It can get real painful. All you need is some antibiotics to get rid of the staff infection and probably some medicated cream.

I would say you need to see your MD,to have this sorted out.I've never heard of a "muscle" forming into to hard as a rock ball, for any reason. Take care. SW RNP
