I received an phone text regarding me and my ex boyfriend and a sexual refrence from an anonymous person saying she is with him now and I was nothing to him. My ex works at the same company as me, can I go to HR and charge harrassement on him?

You should make HR aware of this, this is sexual harassment. However, let them determine who is responsible for the harassment. You need to have the original message to give to HR, if you don't have it-nothing will happen. Do keep a note of the date/time you received the message so that if another message comes you can show a pattern.

No, he cannot be held accountable for something someone else does. It would be a good idea to go to him and tell him what happened and that you want it to stop. Make sure you have a witness.

If the harassment does not stop, you can possibly press criminal charges against the person sending you these msgs.

Since he did not send the phone text, why would you do that? Evidently the woman is trying to cause problems. Your ex has done nothing, and this could end badly for you if he can prove to your supervisor he did not send the text resulting in your dismissal for a false accusation.

Not unless the text was on a company phone. If it was a private correspondence on your own personal phone, its a personal issue and HR will tell you to keep it away from the work environment.

You don't have any evidence directly relating the text message. You can't trace it to his cell phone. What I would do if I were you would be to be prepared. Keep a copy of any more text messages you get. Have a witness around if you have to talk with your ex--just in case he says something to you. Remember you have no evidence of harassment at work unless you can relate it directly to your ex.

No, you have no proof that he's harrassing you. The best thing I can tell you is to change your phone number. Also, never have a relationship with anyone who works with you. Never cut your meat where you make your bread. Best of luck to you.
