Different people have different fetishes and likes... But if its not comfortable for you, you shouldn't do it. Just tell him you don't like it. But putting it there shouldn't be harmful, just make sure you wash it well afterwards.

It is NOT healthy. You can get an infection. Also, if a piece of banana gets stuck in there, do you really want to go to the ER and explain what happened?

As long as you don't stick anything so far in that it gets stuck and you wash thoroughly afterwards it shouldn't cause any problems
