Do you know a film or a book....anything that could make the ideas come to me.....I would really appreciate it if you could give me any tips about how I could find any inspiration. I am desperate......and completely blocked. Please help if you can. Thanks.

Don't know what type of visual art you are stuck at but i am an artist and find that doodling helps me get ideas for paintings, sit down and just draw anything that comes into your head, don't worry about what it looks like, just keep drawing and see where it takes you, if you really can't get started just start by drawing your favourite toy as a kid or your favourite pet. Do the drawings from your head. Or draw a room and fill it with all the things you love(or hate), again don't worry if the drawings are not realistic, just have fun with it and make it up as you go along, don't over think it - just draw.
I like doing this with a bottle of ink and a stick, with ink there is no going back, all your 'mistakes' are evident, and using a stick or the tip of a pencil means the nature of the drawings are not perfect or 'tight', i think the looseness adds to the psychological aspect of the drawings. The drawing may help you get an insight into what you are trying to express in your other visual art work, Good luck!!

Like tikettiboo said, what do you need the inspiration for? In my case, I'm currently writing a book, and like you I've been finding it really hard to get inpiration but when times like this come, I just listen to music.
Any kind of music goes for me, apart from rap though. I just clear my mind of everything else and have only my book in mind and when I'm listening to the song(s) I just find ideas flowing into my mind from everywhere. I usually listen to the song(s) repeatedly, taking notice of everything in the track to see if I can get any other ideas. This method really helps me a lot.
I'm currently reading Nothern Lights (The Golden Compass in the US) again and taking note of Phillip Pullmans' creative style which is helping me a lot in the progress of my book although my book is a completely different genre.
Good luck in whatever it is that you're doing. Hope I helped.

The solution is for you to stop looking for inspiration, but to do the opposite.

I advise you instead to make a as close a copy as you can of a favourite painting.

This is an excellent excercise and it you will learn a good deal.

You will find yourself more able to settle into your own work afterwards.

Inspiration for what ? You have not made it clear what you want to be inspired about.
