a doctor in Cuba makes about the equivalent of $250 US a month
my hubby's father drove a semi and made about $5 US a month
most money is mad in the tourism industry where tips can be made.
The majority of the jobs are governmental, because the government owns everything, therefore the people don't really make much money. Most citizens that may be doctors or nurses, often turn to prostitution or taxi driving just to make ends meet.
