i think you should let her do it. in case she changes her mind, dont die her hair, only make it temporary. she will figure out sooner or later that it makes no difference.

It's her hair, right?
She can damage it if she wants.... going from brown to blonde is a bigger jump but if it's done right, maintained properly and doesn't dry out, it could look very nice.
Try a honey-coloured blonde rather than a straight out platinum blonde because it'll look more natural and nice.
Also, the upkeep will be horrendous, considering that her hair is brown to begin with.. she'll get brown roots growing in visibly after a month or less - make sure she knows that.

I think what she needs to realize is that unless she shells out big bucks at a salon to go blonde, she's going to end up with a hair color that's not what she had in mind and will probably make her embarassed and really upset. But if she's an older teen, hell-bent on making the mistake, I'd say let her do it. Experimentation is a part of growing up. It's just going to be an experiment in disaster!

well that to me would depend on how old she is. But she is your daughter. so if you want her to dye her hair blonde to have sex with some guy that will leave her for the next blonde. that is up to you..... You can dye her whole hair blonde it probably won't come out blonde without many tries.

she will never give in and stop asking till you let her try it. if it doesnt give her the results she wants then she learned her lesson. remind her that its not all that special when a guy likes you for your looks...she should try to let him see her heart. it will make her feel so much more special when he sees her despite her brown hair and looks at her personality. also, you may want to try to get a washable blond dye that will wash out if she doesnt like it. if she does like it let her go for the real thing! it is her body and if she wants to change it, as long as its not getting her in trouble she should be allowed to. :)

Are you pushing your daughter to be "hot?" When she becomes an adult is time enough to be thinking like that. Let her be a child while she's a child. The guy sounds shallow.

Well, i think she should leave her hair the way it is because if the guy really likes her than he would like her hair the way that it is and its not all about looks its the personality that matters!!!! I think her hair is fine the way it is!

it's her hair, let her do what she wants...if it's only for a guy she'll hopefully learn her lesson that changing for a guy isn't worth it.
