Sorry, they've only released that film in region 1. Check your computer before you buy it, but I believe that most computer DVD players will play other regions. Try that.

If the last response is correct then you will not find this movie in your desired region. Sorry, but we can only lobby Hollywood execs for the disc to be released at a later date for your area. I guess for them its a financial decision.

However, there is more than one alternative for you. You can buy a MULTI-region (or region free) DVD player which will play ANY DVD from any region. The Toshiba Sd-3990 (Divx Multi Region Code Free Multi Zone Pal/ntsc) DVD Player sells on Amazon for about $80. I know there are cheaper region free players out there but this one has HIGH ratings from Amazonians. Also make sure that when you do buy a region free player it actually IS region free. Some only play certain formats from other regions (some might only convert for VCD as oppossed to DVD for certain regions).

Another option is to get the Region 1 DVD and make a region free backup. This will, however, require a computer DVDr drive ($40if you dont already have one on your PC) and DVD burning software (free to about $100, the free ones work fine). However the result will yield a DVD that will play in ANY DVD player. I mean if you're gonna backup you might as well make it a region free disc. This is prob your BEST option but it may be hard if you've never backed up a DVD movie before. You will also want to check your local laws concerning backing up movies. I think its LEGAL to make ONE BACKUP copy of a movie you already legally own for yourself. You may also get a company to do it for you at a cost although they might not agree because of copyright.

Lastly, if you DO have a computer, you can just watch it on your computer screen as MOST computer DVD players are region free and will play DVDs in any region.
Sorry for long post. Hope this helps

EDIT: to answer 2nd question: RIGHT click on your DVD drive and choose Properties, click on Hardware tab and highlight your DVD player, then choose Properties, then choose DVD Region tab. The current window should show you the region of your DVD player. Whats nice is that you can CHANGE the region to another setting. So you can change it from the UK region to Region 1 setting play US/Can DVDs. But BE CAREFUL ! ! ! You can only change the region a few times (6 times, I believe). The last change (#6) will be permanent. Make sure you dont change it for any reason and make sure the last change is for YOUR region. You dont want a DVD player that is stuck on Region1 if you live in UK. This is for Windows XP and DVD drives that are changeable. Im assuming W2K is the same way. I dont know if they make DVD computer drives are PERMANENTLY region free. But this is prob your best option for now if you dont want to spend money on a home DVD region-free player
