well contrary to popular belief you can but any two colors together. what you have to do is find the rigth shades of colors. Best bet is to think about what colors you like the best. then go to a hardware paint store and pic out some chips. take em homne and see what color youlike with the carpet. if you want a quick absolute answer either white or a cream color will go with almost any blue.. personally i have seen some very nice effects from using blue and yellow together, but it really is a personal choice

someone suggest grey this will work but agin it has to be the right gray to compliment the tint in the carpet. that is some greys have a bron tink some blue some pink some green...use the swatches

This is a color program from the Behr paint company. Make one of your walls your carpet color and then try other colors against it.

Remember, light though your window will affect the color on the wall. Dark colors with a north window may be too dark, lighten them up a bit. Also as they day changes the wall color changes. My walls were done be a professional artists who knew how colors change......wow! For me it is a constantly changing color display due to windows with 3 exposures.

Keep the ceiling white or a very light version of what you put on the walls.

Well if you have a blue carpet, you should definately rely on colors htat are opposite on the complimentary table of the colors . For example if you have a purple colored carpet, you should definitly get light green walls, but if you have a blue carpet you should get a gray or gold color.
