I heard the Saints, but I'm not sure. If I was a good defensive player the Saints would interest me. With such a great offense and a defense that needs improvement, a good defensive player could bedome a star.

I'd say 49ers or Bengals.
49ers because they're 3-4 and are trying to build a strong 3-4 (injuries made they switch back to 4-3 at times last year) ---and they have the most cap room
Bengals because they're desperate for LBs (only 4-3 I think he'd go to --he's lost a bit of a step, so he'd be better off on a team where he'd blitz more often that drop into coverage).
BELOW ME -- we wouldn't take him in SD
1) our GM is a real penny pincher (but in a good way, he doesn't fall for "OMG! he's a big name, let me throw $$ at him!!" --and Joey basically said he left for more $$
2) We already have great OLBs in Merriman and Phillips, and even IF Porter could play ILB really well, our young ILBs are inked w/decent deals to start for a while, so the only way he'd come here is if he'd come for cheap and for only about a year or 2 (to win the SB) AND @ ILB ( ---or REALLY cheap as a back-up --he'd old --so it's semi-possible to happen).

ive read in the bakersfield news that its down to san diego or san francisco because porter lives in bakersfield. as i quote porter, "those are 2 teams i wouldnt say no to." 9ers are running the 3-4 and he can help them a lot and he brings a lot of energy and emotion to the squad. and with the signings of clements and lewis, porter might want to be a part of a young up and coming team.
san diego is a title contender and porter might want another ring. but he will be overshadowed by merrimen.
so i guess it all comes down to whoever offers the most money.

The Bengals or the Browns. Porter would love to get back at the Steelers for letting him go.
