large media outlets are in a race to the bottom for ratings. shock value, also known as sensationalism, is what they have conditioned us to expect and now they have to use it or we don't tune in. the whole thing spirals downward and degrades the industry I love. it almost makes me embarrased to be a journalist, however I have the opportunity at the moment to simply not choose that way of reporting.

The media goes nuts over Anna Nicole Smith because, believe it or not, most of the public wants to know every bit of detail. Quite frankly, I don't give a care about this whole thing....sure, it's sad to hear about a death, but they've been going on about it now for almost a month and NOBODY CARES ANYMORE! I think you're right though; no one really cares about it anymore.

Yes, its fame, fortune, and that poor baby, two family members die probably the same way. A Mistery. I am hoping the mother will get everything. Lets pray she will win this, and take the baby away from the drugies. Poor little angel. I have adopted grandchildren because of this kind of thing before, twice. So that they will have a stable, safe home. Hope the mother will raise the baby and have some peace and happiness in her live. She has gone through hell, trying to get Anna away from the drugs, and drugies. Thats what happens in families, when the mother steps up and she should for the childrens sake. Amen Vergie. God give you the strength to take it all honey.

The media wants attention and if they can get it from someone's dealth they will they really don't care about anyone they just care about the $ money. If it will sell they will make sure it gets sold.I am with you I don't really care and I do not waste my time or my money on this kinda of stuff.

simply stated because those "trash news" sell...and the dollar is the mighty that governs most media actions and print out. sad story, sad state of affairs. we have to live with it in a free society.

why coz she is a known pin-up and people wanna know who,what,when,where and why,some,like you,just don't care,but I do coz there is a baby involved and a lot of lies have been told,the truth will come out sooner or later,hopefully sooner so the baby will be well cared for,for the rest of her life..

Americans love tragedy of any sort....The sadder it is, the more they will watch. All adds up to $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ for the media
