nope, but i've asked a stranger to hold something.. When my baby was 1 month old, i was at a clinic with my sister, and i really needed to use the bathroom. My sister was holding her own 5 month old, and so i asked the lady next to me to hold my son for a few minutes... i tell you, i've never peed so fast in my life, and i've never asked anyone ever to hold anything of mine since...

Sure - I guess I have a trustworthy face, or something, because I've had more moms than I can count ask me if I could hold their kids while they tied a shoe or something similar. I don't think I'd hold ANYTHING for very long if the person handed it to me and then walked away!
