The large terminal should have a cable going to the positive side of the battery. There should be a small wire going to the cab for the ammeter. Most alternators are the same other than the way it mounts & the output.

If your alternator only has two terminals, you'll need a fairly large guage lead running from the insulated terminal on the back to the positive terminal of your battery. The other lead probably uses a molded plastic plug and should be your field lead. Smaller guage wire is fine . . . if memory serves me, should be switched, fused 12v, so you don't run your battery down when the engine isn't running. If there's no third connector, ground is through the bracket.
Hope this helps.

I certainly have run united kingdom 240V home equipment on 220V 2-section in Canada - floor to floor, stay and unbiased to the two stages and neglect with reference to the availability unbiased. yet no longer this style around. i think that interior the U. S. equipment, the heater factor is related to 2 stages of 110V, i.e. there is 220V between them. however the digital controls may be related between one section and unbiased. you will could desire to envision interior, perhaps attempt with a meter. If the unbiased isn't certainly related to something, then you definately ought to cord the dryer between united kingdom unbiased and 240V. do no longer connect any 110V load to 240V. If the electronics runs on 110V, you should perhaps set up a small transformer to run it. you will could desire to envision how precisely the electronics switches the heater factor to work out if this might artwork - despite if it rather is an mechanical relay, or good-state change that desires a undeniable unbiased connection. be conscious that any messing around like this certainly voids the dryer guarantee, and could reason problems alongside with your place coverage if each person reveals out or you should purchase a transformer sufficiently enormous to handle the completed load. it must be extra fee-effective to purchase a sparkling dryer.

this all depend,s on which alternator your using?.......if it,s the original.........you must have a regulator also.........if it,s a later model alternator with a internal regulator....wiring is a little different..................if original.......large wire from + battery to large connection on back of alt......smaller wire from spade terminal on alt. marked F for field to field terminal on regulator....next to F on the alt. is another spade terminal marked A for armature.....it should go to arm.terminal on regulator......another 14 Gage wire from the terminal marked batt. on the regulator to the + on your battery.....that,s the old style.......newer style......same large wire to+ on batt. to large terminal on alt....next both spade terminal,s on your alt. marked F & A....should go to a resistor then to + on your battery ........if no resistor available...use a diode to initionate power to the field on your alt.......arrange it so that you don,t get feed back from the field once generating.........I know this is a little confusing......if in doubt...go to your local library....look for a motor,s or chilton repair manual.....all will be listed under specification,s......hope this help,s.....good luck!
