You're an adult and shouldn't have to go to college unless you want to. However, if you want to quit, you should be prepared to start paying your own bills. It's unfair to make your mother pay for things if you're not in school.
Take your mother out to lunch and explain to her why you no longer want to go to school. Be firm, and make sure she understands that this is not her choice. At the same time, don't be confrontational about it. Hopefully, she'll accept it. If not, there's not much you can do. You can' tlive your entire life by what your mother wants for you.

Well, the first thing I would do if I was in your position is tell her your problem; make her listen to you. you should be old enough to make your own decisions. and if she still threatens to stop paying your way, I would find a nice paying job that could pay for your fees. And I think your totally right. College isn't for everyone, and your mom should know that. But that's what I would do. I hope I helped you!! ;)

Just finish there at the jr college. get some degree that could help you later. but some degree is better than NO degree. It shows you have ambition and drive to get things done. plus, you'll get paid more. Stick it out. go back and just try to get through for a 2 yr degree. Then do what ever you want. But make mom and your self happy in the long run. otherwise you may be sorry.

Explain it...School is the right thing though. Maybe you could try a different school! It is wrong for your mother to threaten you but she has a point. It is hard to get a job if you don't go to collage and finish it! but a university... you need to let your mom know how you feel!

Don't you think it would only be fair to pay for your own rent, car, etc.? If you're not going to school, you need to work to pay your own bills and lift the burden off of your parents. She is paying for you in hopes you will get a good job one day (college is just about the only way to get one). I mean if you're not going to school then you can get a job.

Come up with an alternate plan. Have it all worked out so that it is logical and fits your needs and abilities. Where will you work, live, etc. It sounds like Mom wants the best for you. Someday you may regret not having the education and the good future that comes with it. Think about it carefully.
