My favourite movie is The lord of the rings because it is an amazing film. It has the best actors and actresses in it that are fabulous, the whole crew are fantastic and are the nicest people, the movie sets they shot it in were great, the digital effects are perfect coz you cant even tell that they are digital, Brilliant story and so much to it. Also they all got on so well. Plus the costumes were brill oh and swords and sword fighting were cool. Also the stunt guys and the fact that the movie is made in New Zealand makes it the best film ever!!

Stand By Me! and absolute classic 80's film starring River Pheonix, Wil Wheaton, Corey Feldman, Jerry O'Connell, Keifer Sutherland and Richard Dreyfuss with a cameo role for john Cusack. The Lost Boys is also up ther with the classics.

Raiders of the Lost Ark.
It's got it all, action, adventure, romance, comedy and effects. Considering it's age, it holds up well to even modern production standards (in my opinion, even better than it's sequels, especially the last one).
As far as goofy films, I'd have to say "Back to the Future" is a favorite, followed closely by "Better Off Dead"
I guess I'm a hopeless 80's movie addict.

My favorite movie is 'The Color Purple' because it's about tragedy and triumphs. The script, acting, and soundtrack are outstanding. I always cry buckets at the end, but for a good reason. It always makes me feel good inside, like your fave movie should.

TITANIC!! it is a legend and will never fade away. it is great and an emotional movie and it is worthwhile to watch every single hour of it.
Also i find it kinda funny on the part where the mini orchestra is playing music while the boat is sinking; they don't try to save themselves, they just play music faster and faster until they are blowing bubbles with their trumpet underwater. !
