I m currently looking for a job. I m under F-1 visa. I've applied for my Opional Practical Training(OPT) and its good for one year. If i can get a job within 1 year, i will have to apply for the H-1 visa.
Now, i've seen many job descriptions saying they only want applicants who can work in the us WITHOUT SPONSORSHIP. Do they mean they are avoiding people like me?
Also, since i m on OPT, i practically need no sponsorship for this one year. Should i still go ahead and apply for those jobs?

Sponsorship means that a company/relative has already sponsored you (and/or are still sponsoring you), and can revoke that at any time, which will get you deported back to your home country because you don't have sponsorshop.

What they want is a visa, without any strings attached.

Since you have a F-1 Visa, it means you can accept employment in the states if it relates to your training.

The H-1B visa enables professionals in "specialty occupations" to make a valuable contribution to the American economy. A maximum of 65,000 H-1B visas are issued every year. The H-1B visa is issued for up to three years but may be extended. This provides a maximum stay of six years. The H1-B visa holder can apply for a Green Card if a company wants to sponsor his/her application.

So basically companies are looking for people with a F-1 (which you have), so they can sponsor them to get a H-1. But if you are already sponsored, they don't want you because it gets tricky with strings attached/tied to other companies/people.

Go ahead and apply, and when you get interviewed, inform them of your status just so you're clear with them.

New H1b petitions could be submitted in April. in spite of the undeniable fact that, regardless of if your petition is authorized, you will not be eligible to paintings on that petition earlier October a million. So, you if your decide expires in June, you will prefer to circulate away and get a clean visa to return to start paintings in October.
