For most women, they hymen does not completely cover the opening to the vagina; it's a ring of tissue near the vaginal entrance. For a woman with what is called an imperforate or cribriform hymen, yes insertion of a finger or speculum would break the hymen. In fact in the case of an imporforate hymen, it is usual for the gynecologist ot perform a hymenotomy to deliberately "break" (actually, make an incision in) the hymen so that mentrual blood can escape.

Also, most penises are considerably larger in diameter than a finger, so the comparison is not really valid.

THE HYMAN is the very opening to the vagina, most females break theirs through some degree in their life up until the time they start menstruating. that may be through totally innocent playing as a child, puttiing tampons in etc but like I said most people only have a small piece of it left anyway

You already asked this 17 hours ago. Because MOST penises are longer than a finger or tampon.
