The only thing you can do is be there for her. Just being there for hear when she gets ready to talk means the most. It may take her a while but in times like this we brake down sooner or later and need that shoulder to cry on. When I lost my daddy it took a while to realize that it was real. when the crowd of family and Friends was gone i needed the people most close to me, just to hear me talk, hear me cry, and help me work through the anger. and this are all parts of grief Just be there.

I would tell her that you wanted her to know that she is in your thoughts and prayers, and that you know she is going through a really hard time right now. You may also say something like, "Remember every time you look up at a star, your brother is up in heaven looking down on you....".

I have lost way too many people in my life, and the only thing that gets me through is time, and knowing that there are more angels in heaven now....

just tell her that you feel really bad about what happened and that your sorry. Tell her that you are always there for her and that you are willing to help her if she needs help. Try to comfort her and try to make her not to think of it as much. It worked for me when one of my friends died.

Just be there for her. Seeing as how you've never been in the same situation, just sympathize for her. Tell her you're sorry, and you're here for her if she needs anything.

Maybe you should just walk up and hug her. Maybe all she needs is somebody to lean on.
