is the Maasai people of Tanzania..where by when a young male "Morani " reach an ages for marriages he is supposed to fight with a lion male and kill him then take some portion of skin and show to elders and then will be allowed to
get married..as is simbol of brave in the society.

There is a certain tribe in Namibia called the 'HIMBA' tribe. I personally think that they have the most interesting (and mind boggling) custom that I have heard of to date.
It is said that their women DO NOT bath/bathe/wash their bodies, from the day that they are born until the day they die!
Instead they keep applying some special kind of red sand to their skin, which they dig out of cave-like enclosures. Can anyone else
add to this topic?

There is a story (myth, I hope) that some of the more remote tribes in central Africa still bury a live person with the Chief, when he dies.
Pretty similar to other well documented cultures in history, no?
