Most people in the real world are not fit and pretty. Most of us are average looking, we're not good enough looking to be on TV. Plus I think if it's real, it would be pretty boring because they'd be spending most of the time filming us at work so that can we pay the rent. And we wouldn't be coming home to swanky furnished apartments. And we wouldn't be partying every night because we'd be tired from working all day.

HA HA HA HA Good point. The reason is that people like to watch pretty stupid people more than intelligent average looking ones. There were a few people on there that I didn't think were attractive.

Awesome question. MTV wants people to watch so they pick the hot young (sometimes stupid) kids that they think most of their viewers would like to watch. That show doesn't really make sense anyway.

the real world used to be "real". they just forgot to change the name of the show when they started becoming "unreal".
