It IS possible for any female fish to drop eggs. They will not be viable & you should clean your tank of the eggs as they will rot & spoil your water.

A pair of beta CAN raise fry. The male squeezes the eggs from her & picks them up in his mouth & blows them up into a bubble nest that HE made! Betas are quite unique!!

yes that could have been possible becuz she could have been creating the eegs before u bought her. and councidentually, she layed the eggs a week later.

If she was egg-laden when you got her, then it's certainly possible. Presuming she is otherwise healthy, she should be fine.
