Shox don't necessarily make you jump higher, but thats no to say they don't do their job. They are still better to jump in than most other shoes. Also, I had a pair of shox and it took me a LLLLOOOONNNNGGGG time to break in to them. You probably won't see results till after a good 15-20 wears

I think you may have wrong expectations. Nike Shox are the highest level of shock absorption/cushioning, not for improved jumping ability. Those columns under your feet are very much like shock absorbers; they compress as your foot strikes the floor.

The little spring variety element under the heal are like shocks on a vehicle and do the comparable issues, abzorb stressful blows(on the floor) and furnish a greater gentle journey. The X on the top is basically a splash play on words i assume.

sorry but you have the wrong idea about the shock. the shock was not made for you to spring higher into the air but rather to take in impact and cushion the foot (much like air bubbles in airmaxes or zoom air in huaraches. just a different way to cushion).

I think you need to do calf/quad exercises to jump higher... Or just buy a trampoline.

i thought they just cushion the impact of your feet hitting the ground
