yes i got one for not "answering" the question, but it was a stupid question which wasn't meant for a serious answer, so i put in what i thought was an appropriate answer, but apparently it wasn't.

I get them all of the time and they are mostly the kind that you received. People get annoyed for all sorts of reasons at the answer someone gives, usually when it happens to be a truth they don't want to know, so they make up some reason to report it as a violation. The ones at Yahoo! who respond to the violations being reported don't seem to actually investigate, they just appear to hand out a violation if one is being reported. It's pretty stupid and lame.

I have gotten violated a lot of times and it does get really annoying. I guess stupid people send reports for stupid things.

I have gotten several and they pulled my answers,..i thought that was rude so i sent yahoo a violation notice of my own..im still waiting to hear back ~~

Well maybe you answered it by writing this... "thanks for the 2 points" Thats not answering the question now is it. Just because you wrote something doesnt mean you really answered a question does it.
