Me, my mother, and my brother are all moving this summer after I finnish middle school. Some of my friends have been acting phony lately, and I wanna see if my friends would really miss me. So I plan to tell them that I'm moving early, and I wanna see their reactions, so...is this a good idea to see who's my real friends and who's not?

you won't know who your real friends are until you move. the ones that keep in touch with you are the ones that are true. if you tell everyone now it probalby won't make a difference. i would advise you to tell people now though. it will get the ones who will truly miss you some time to cope before you go.

Your details are not quite clear. Are they acting phony cos of your moving? If yes, be careful with what you are about to do. Friendship can be dangerous game. Friends come and go very fast. I suggest you take the initiative to ask them why they have been acting strange around you and tell them honestly it has been hurting you especially as you have to deal with moving from home and friends. You totally need their support and would like to spend the remaining time to appreciate and cherish the friendship. I think that is rather better idea. Putting your friend through test is risky. Genuine friends care.

Once you move you will who is your friend. If they want to keep in touch they would write or call you on the phone, those would be the one you call friends. For now though, it’s hard to tell the difference because everyone would say they’ll miss you and all.

No...not a good idea. It's never a good idea to play games to test folks. Just be yourself. Those who are your friends will be your friends and those who aren't will be revealed.
Just be your great self and let life takes it course.

No!!! That's game playing. The way I see it, is if you want to play games, there will always be a winner and there will always be a loser. Who wants to live life like that?

Of course, at that age there are a lot of "phony" friends.

I just think that if you think you have to this to prove to yourself who's real and who's just playin you should be the answer right there! If they r your friends you shouldn't have to be sneaky and quiz them to findout how they really are.right????
