You people who are against the Death Penalty are truely unbelievable!

-Where's the "vengance" in it?
-Where's the "unfairness" in it? Don't you understand that people like O.J can AFFORD top-of-the-line lawyers?
-Why should we give a rat's a$$ about the criminals family? What about the victims family?
-How are criminals and the government on the same level as eachother when it comes to "who has the right to kill"? Why shouldn't the government be allowed to kill haneous murders when they are an authority established by God to keep order and administer justice? It's like Jesus said: "Give to Caesars what is Caesars, and give to God what is God's." GOD ALLOWS GOVERNMENT TO KILL! PERIOD!
-Why does it matter if the death penalty is a deterant or not? THE PUNISHMENT SHOULD FIT THE CRIME!
-And finally, why should we effin care if only 120 people out of the thousands put on death row are innocent? WE'RE HUMANS! WE MAKE MISTAKES! TO BAD!!!

I am not against the death penalty. What I am against is the fact that if someone is on death row, then get it done with instead of allowing them to sit there for 10 or more years, while we continue to support them.

You are incorrect.

You believe that the death penalty is a punishment. This is wrong. Taking someone's life is a punishment that lasts for 14 seconds at most, then he/she looses consciousness and it is all over. As a form of punishment the death penalty fails miserably. The person would be punished hundreds of times more by being forced to live in solitary confinement.

However, you and this premise are incorrect because , the prison system overall is not designed as a form of punishment. Rather, it is a way for society to defend itself from those that have proven to be a menace to it. The only way society can do that in a civilized way is by removing these people from it's midst, hence incarceration. Not as a punishment to the individual, but as a form of preventing future injury to society.

We are humans and we do make mistakes, until it happens to you or a family member. Would you say that too: They accidentally killed my brother, but they found out he was innocent, so sorry they can't bring him back to life. and where do you get that God allows the government to kill people, not in my bible.
Punishment should fit the crime, but by the time they're death they don't suffer, have them do hard labor for the rest of their lives and be aware that these are they consequences of their actions. no one has the right to kill, not even the government or a police officer., unless your life is at treath and it's based on defense.

You have a long and complex question...a simple
answer..
Most people oppose the death penalty because they
believe that persons should not be able to personally
impose the death penalty.. BUT the truth is
that people are convicted by a JURY of their peers
as guaranteed by the Constitution. This is not a Person
condemning another person...THIS is body-politic..
a concept that says that a group of people have
a combined will that is superior to individual opinion..
When you consider this the death penalty as set forth
after a jury trial is the will of the People...therefore not
a personal opinion or liability...It is one of the great things
that exists in the American system

Well, besides the fact this reads like the satanic bible compared to the way jesus would have wanted it, I'd think he'd want you to read the sermon on the mount again.

i think of all newborn molesters could desire to be positioned to sleep! i'm conscious that should get rid of a great element of the human race, yet think of roughly it, all of us left may be so scared they in all probability does not do it. As for anybody else, in the event that they committed the crime, are stumbled on in charge and are petrified of demise then i think of they could desire to be positioned to sleep. enable them to sense the phobia of demise in simple terms like their sufferers. in the event that they're waiting to die then i think of we could desire to continuously save them alive in reformatory. And as quickly as I say reformatory, I propose one meal an afternoon, no t.v., no aircon, no gyms (basically to lead them to greater! it somewhat is stupid), no privileges in any respect. Prisoners in specific circumstances say, "they take care of us like animals", nicely i think of in the event that they did not act like animals they does not be in there interior the 1st place. i think of they could desire to artwork yet basically to pay for their outfits, nutrition, facility expenditures, and pay a small element known to the sufferers or their households. That way known they're reminded of why they're in there! I do think of the fee could desire to flow to a economic company account the place the sufferers at the instant are not reminded each and on a daily basis of the adventure. That way they are in a position to handle it on their own whilst they're waiting. i in my view do agree the only time they could desire to apply the demise penalty is whilst they be attentive to for specific they committed the crime. As for criminals who somewhat did not bodily harm everyone i think of they could desire to place them in a reformatory remote from the difficult-center criminals, yet I nonetheless think of they could desire to artwork for each little thing.
