I impress upon large, because most of the automatic feeders are for small tanks. Are there any larger ones, or any ideas. I am away for abt. 1 month .

Check your pet store. They have automatic feeders. They come in different sizes for different foods.

Also, you may want to set up a brine hatchery. This way as the brine hatch it is a constant source of food for your fish. Attaches to the inside of your tank and only takes an air hose.

If you need feeders, over stock the tank with feeders. They won't eat them all anyway (not at first.) when they need fed they have a few to choose from.

A month is a while, you may want to have a friend stop in and just check on things.

Two auto feeders would work set at opposite long intervals, or one large feeder. It will hold 25 oz of food.

If you have veggie eaters the clips and some greens where they can pick at their pleasure is also an option.

Getting a friend to feed them is the best way. I've used vacation feeders (the dissolving things) before and they just made a mess of my tank. However, I was forced to leave my tank for six weeks, so I bought a digital automatic feeder. It worked great, I was able to choose just the right amount of food per day, and my tank wasn't messed up when I came back and there were no fatalities. So, if you can't find someone to fish-sit, one of those may be a good option. I got mine off ebay because they tend to be pricey in pet stores, but its a good investment if you have to go away again.

those fish are actually not snipping at eachother because of the fact they're hungry...thats aggression. a Betta with all those different fish?!?! You do understand those are solitair fish applicable? Feeding thrice an afternoon could be positive as long as you eliminate any uneaten nutrition interior of two minutes of putting it in. *be conscious* Torn fins is a demonstration of a risky fish. Fish that are being attacked each and every of the time are stessed out...and that ends up in ailment you're able to eliminate the Betta and positioned him in his very own seperate tank or get a divider for him to seperate the different fish.

There should be large feeders. That's why they are sold. In my pet store they sell different sizes. If you pet sore do not sell large feeders, go to another store. You can go anywhere even if it takes you along time. Your fishes are in your hands. Do you want them to keep living?

Besides checking in with the pet store, I'm curious as to why you don't have someone feed them for you? That's usually what people do when they go away.

Large fish require specific daily feeding and observation for continued good health. I think you need to find a good friend or relative to take instruction and care for your fish, absent that you will need to hire someone.
