where is my properties tab on my mac?

i cannot find the propeties tab on my mac computer. i was told that it was under the file tab but i still can't locate it. maybe it's called something different on a mac.

There is no "properties tab" on Macs. if you need to find out "system Information" you go under the apple menu, it's the first choice "about this Mac" from there you click on "more info" and that opens the System Proflier.

There is no Windows type "properties" for the UNIX system. Some applications will have a properties tab for some things. The "Get Info" menu pulldown will get you some info.
