Computer would not turn on after house lost power during thunderstorm. Replaced the power supply but......Need help with 3 connector location for the Chassis 9-pin Front Panel Header(accidentally disconnected) I have three connectors to connect, PWR LED blue &white, HDD LED red & white, and pwr s/w balck & white. How do these connect?

If they are connected properly and the computer will not power up, what is the next thing to check?

Green power led light on mother borad is illuminated.

If the green LED on your motherboard is lit, it means your power supply is working. as for your front panel connectors, there should be labels on the motherboard right below the pins showing where the connectors go (below a few pins it will say 'HDD' or 'PWR' etc). Check your manuals, you may have a motherboard map that shows a blown up view that is more clearly labelled.

The only one you need to hook up is the power button. The other ones are just to make the indicator LED's on your case work. They are useul, but not essential. Just hook up the power connector to start. remember that the label on the little connector should point out from the block of pins, not in.

If that doesn't work, it's possible that something on the motherboard itself is fried.
