early january i found out i was pregnant and my fella said he wud stick by us as he 'loved me soo much!' a few weeks later and we have split and he has moved neary 100 miles away, he accasionaly rings to ask how things are and says he wants to stick by us but how can he when he is that far away??
we were also engaged!

well he probably loves you considering he at first said he would stay and when he split he still calls you. If you were engaged hes not afraid of commitment hes just not ready for a kid. He probly wants to be so far away cuz he doesnt want you trying to patch things up. If you are over 21 then hes acting immature but if you areyounger than that it is possible the engagement didnt really mean were are going to get maried it might have just meant i want to marry you. theres a difference trust me. But either way if he and you are not ready for a child call him and ask if he would come back and be with you for support when you have the baby and that then you will put it up for adoption. There are plenty of loveing parents out there who wrnt blessed with children of their own. Then you baby will have a good home and you can start a fresh new start with your fionce or with someone else. If you think you are ready to have the baby then you need to accept that your man is not ready and so your relationship will not work but there will be a man out there who is ready for it and you will fal in love again. Either way you need to call him and ask if you werent having the child would it change things? would he still be with you? you love him and if he still loves you then it will work out. He must care, thats why hes calling but he muist not be ready, thats why he left. Talk with him. You might be surprised at why hes far away or why he left. Good luck with ur man and with the baby.

Would you really want a man that has done this to you? A baby is a living being, not something to just stick by. Your better off without this caring person.

Your better off without him, if he can and has run away when your pregnant he won't think twice doing it when you have the baby if he returned now. And would you not be thinking is he only with me for the baby. Forget him and move on with your life, and your baby.

Just because this guy has run away, it doesnt mean we are all like that. Lots of guys are commited and that is why there are a lot of happy families. You may find another man who is willing to take on you and your child, which would be real commitment

I DONT KNOW EITHER. THEY ACT SO STUPID YET WE ARE THE ONES THAT HAVE TO CARRY THE BABY FOR 9 MONTHS AND GO THRU THE PAIN OF CHILD BIRTH LATER FEED THEM, CHANGE THE BABY, CARE FOR THE BABY AND WHAT DO THEY DO??? RUN LIKE HELL ...

Sounds like he is to young or immature to take on the responsibility of a baby. As hard as it may be you may be better of with him out of the picture.

They get scared. Marriage, kids, a house etc. It's very daunting for some men.
