We recently changed the motor on the furnace. Not sure if it the motor that isn't hooked up right or if there is something wrong with the thermostat. We are getting heat out of the vents, but not heating the house up enough.

I would change the wall thermostat control and put it on the coldest wall in the house, it is recommended that you put it on a wall to the outside maybe between the front door and a large window.

Never put the thermostat on an outside wall or by a window, sheesh. If it's turning off before it climbs to where you have it set then the thermostat needs to be leveled. It's probably the old style with the mercury switch. New thermostats are electronic and don't have that problem. If you buy a new one get a programmable one, it's save quite alot on your gas bill

Move the glass bubble with the gray mercury inside. Or change the whole thing.
