Have never done either, but would prefer moshing. My friend went to a concert once and head banged all the way through, she could not move her neck the next day.

Moshing all the way...there's only so much fun you can have head banging but moshing takes you to this other state of Ecstasy it's the way to go for total euphoric bliss

actually, my favorite is crowd surfing, but between those two, I'd have to say moshing. Moshing is more social, but head banging is something you can do with your own self anytime you want.
