Condom issue?

Please help - I have a friend who I have already stressed is doing something very wrong. She wants to trap her boyfreind of only 5 months by having his baby! She told me that last night she put a very small hole in an extra safe condom and after they made love she saw him tie a knot in it and nothing looked to have leaked - could she be pregnant?

Yes, she could be pregnant.

She should get an appointment with her GP and get the morning after pill tomorrow morning.

Trapping someone with a baby is one of the stupidist things she can do. Does she really think he will feel obliged ot stick around? Haven't you seen all the mummies on their own becuase daddy buggered of? If all men felt a duty to stay with and support someone they got pregnant there wouldn't be a need for the Child Support Agency.

This plan will most likely seriously backfire on her.

Speak some sense into her!

It is possible. Condoms, even when completely intact, don't eliminate the chance for pregnancy. However, the spermicide in the condom probably took care of the problem. But, I feel that you should tell your friend's boyfriend about what is going on. Trust me, she is probably rushing head-long into something she isn't ready for, and he may try to run away from her if she winds up pregnant and then finds the truth out. Also, how well does she really know this person if she's only dated him for 5 months? You should never gamble with an innocent baby's life because you want to be selfish (I mean that towards your friend, not you).

Depends on where she is in her cycle. If any leaks out it could get her pregnant is she has ovulated.
She is very wrong to do this & she will not trap her boyfriend. if he feels trapped & he doesn't want a baby - he would probably leave her & she'd be left on her own to look after the child. This is another life that is being talked about, an innocent who has no say in the matter. Please try and get your friend to stop this madness. It is wrong, wrong, wrong.

Wow that is awful! After five months she doesn't even know him well enough to know if he will stick around. You need to talk serious sense into this girl. She could end up ruining this lads life, as well as her own. You need to be pysically and emotionally ready for a child and it can be very upsetting if one (or both) parents end up resenting the baby for stopping them doing what they want.
If nothing leaked, then she may be safe. Only maybe, though. I think you need to tell this lad she is with before its too late. Tell him not tell her how he knows. Too many lives are at risk of being destroyed.

Yes! Remember there are millions of sperm in one drop of semen and just because you cant see them- doesnt mean they are not there! Perhaps her chances are dramatically decreased because she say there was no leakage. But remember- women get pregnant all the time even when the man ejaculates OUTSIDE the vagina. Perfectly in tact condoms are only 83% effective.

Tell your friend that she definately needs to get her priorities straight. She may just be adding to the statistic of women on welfare, dead beat dads and unwed mothers. Look at our population of children without a father in their lives. Look at how many men are refusing to pay child support for there children. THis is not the way to trap a man. The way I see it- if you want to "trap a man"... tie him up!

Okay the way i see it is: If she did get pregnant (and she didnt tell him about how it happend and what she did) and by chance he did stay with her and fell in love with her and they raised the child and got married (not saying that that will happen but you never know). Then years down the road (happy together) she feels really bad for what she done and she cant keep it in any more, she desides to tell him the truth and he leaves her... Or they could end up on maury or Jerry Springer!!!

why use a condom if thats what she's going to do. she should say that she is on the pill. that way she can say summert must have gone wrong.

but yes, there is always a possibility, as when the male ejaculates (wheres spell check?), there are over 6 million sperms, and there are over 2 million in just the precum (as i was told by a professional), and only ONE SINGLE SPERM CELL is needed to fertilise the egg, so there is a possibility.

tell her to take a test in 3 days to be sure, but if she did it last night i would drag the dirty little slapper down to the clap clinic for a morning after pill, and i would especially do it if she was my girlfriend. it is wrong. he is being sensible using protection for the reason that he DOES NOT WANT A CHILD, and she could be making him have one.

but i think your friend is being very selfish how? old is she does she even live with the bloke? although baby are very cute and seem lovely the reality of it is there hard work and expensive

everythink changes once you have a baby the nights out (basically you dont have the money and your to exhausted plus does your friend have a job or is she on benefits? its so hard on benefits i hate when i have to look in to my daughters faces and tell them no when they asked for something especially if its just a sweet cos i cant afford it even thou it helps with there teeth to stay heathy

if she does suceed in getting pregnant and the bloke leaves her to get on with it cos he dont want kids is she gonna go round saying nasty things about him (all hypertheical) he may be ok about it after the shock of it at frist as men are funny creatures some are good some arent so good

i really think your friend needs to stop thinking of herself and think of him too and if shes doing to trap him cos she really likes/loves him you should point out to her that a baby wont make him stay if he dont want to then she will be on her own bring up the kid depending on how much her b/f has the baby if he wants to know the baby at all

possibly could get pregnant.
but you need to stop her, does she know what she is doing?
after 5 months she cannot possibly know this is the right man for her. and does she realise how hard it is to be a single mother?
the poor man may not even be ready to be a dad he may freak and leave her all alone and not see the baby then what?
you need to talk to your friend and if she does not listen tell her boyfriend for the sake of the baby that may be born into this mess

Yes she could still be pregnant but someone should tell this poor guy. No woman has the right to take away someones own choices like that. She wont be so impressed when he's dumped her and she is left brining a child up alone.
