Boycotts... will only make the toy more popular, I will admit that the toy may go off the market, but there is no way to boycott every inappropriate toy that makes it to stores.
And as for the article... what is wrong with hot tubs? i clicked the link to the 7 toys and hot tub stuff was repeated like 4 times?

well i just read that article and my wee girl was 4 at xmas and her friend came here for her birthday.. she was 7 and she had got barbie hot tub bus foe xmas.. all the things it did were amazing there was nothing rude about it in fact i was looking to buy my girl 1... now a pole dancing barbie thats another thing...i have nothing against barbie wrapping her whammy fanny round a shiny pole by no means.....and im as sexy as the next mamma but everybody is entitled to their own opinion so good luck to all who buy but il stick to barbie princess and the rest.xxx liz.....mum of 6

Barbies are no longer for "young girls" they are appearently trying to appeal to older generations that are far more "adult". I'd hate know what Barbie will be next. Shes always trying a new career and so far shes been doing so many I guess the creators ran out of ideas.

I would be a bit careful about you way you phrase the question. There was no "Barbie Pole Dancing it" - Start a campaign on that basis and you will be sued for libel / misrepresentation. Bearing in mind that Mattel have a lot more cash than you, you will be in a lot of trouble.
