I listen to it over and over if I really like it.I just downloaded the new Modest mouse dashboard song and I have listened to it more than I will admit

Yeah I put it at the top of my playlist (napster) then hit it to random, but I always start with the new song. Eventually I'll stop starting the list on that song, and it will make it's way into regular rotation.
