Law is for the masses.

Sometimes it is ethical to beak the law.
Would I steal to save a life? Yes.

More interestingly from a development point of view is to ask if we think it is right for someone else to steal from us in order to save a life? I believe it is, but this extension of logic defies most mortals.

A little Yes and a big No.
I would never cover for someone I loved if I thought they could be a danger to society, or if they were out of control. If theyve stolen something, then yes maybe I would, but if theyve hurt someone and could do it again then no way - they need help!

That is not a question that could be answered truthfully. One has to be in a situation that puts you to the test.I suppose it is natural that one would want to protect someone they loved from being in distress. The answer is influenced by that desire and may not be in the best interests of the one you set out to protect.

I would only commit the big crimes of murder/manslaughter if someone was coming after my children or myself to kill us, ie. in self-defence...
I would pretty much break any laws to protect my children, unless it hurt someone who was an innocent bystander, or unless my children were in the wrong, eg. I wouldn't protect my son by hiding him from the police if he did something stupid...

Absolutely, the law is not above my own conscience.
I wouldn't murder an innocent person, though, even to protect someone I love. Can't justify it.

Yes within reason, if it was for anything other than murder or something of that seriousness then i think i would. Although its wrong you naturally want to protect the one you love. So my answer is yes i would.
