Ok, this is my aviary at the moment

http://i43.photobucket.com/albums/e399/percysmate/P8190206.jpg

I would like the double the depth so instead of it being 3ft, it would be 6ft. Would this be possible and how would I do it?

Thanks in advance!

Cage the birds first but CERTAINLY it's possible. All you really need do is duplicate what exists on the outer perimter, using the same or similar materials and cage wiring.

You might consider that at the middle/joint, you added extra bracing, but a span of 6 ft. with just frame and cage material is going to be a minimal weight.

The ROOF/ceiling isn't sloped so you dont have to measure the extreior uprights to accomodate that. You might consider new wire/cage material overall, but even that can be covered in a splice with lumber if you just add the 3 ft.

Build the add on before you remove the existing exterior wall, perhaps, to retain stability, and if possible use the same cage material on the new perimeter, then just add new for the sides and ceiling. Looks like a simple fix to me, and not very expensive.
