Orenthal James Simpson is a retired American football player who achieved stardom at the collegiate and professional levels. He later worked as an actor, spokesperson and broadcaster. Simpson is infamous for having been tried for the murder of ex-wife Nicole Brown Simpson and her friend Ronald Goldman in 1994. He was acquitted in criminal court in 1995 after a lengthy, highly publicized trial (often called the "Trial of the Century" in America). In 1997, Simpson was found liable for their deaths in civil court, but to date has paid little of the $33.5 million judgment.
He gained further notoriety in late 2006 when he wrote a book titled If I Did It, withdrawn by the publisher just before its release, which purports to be a first-person fictional account of the murder had he actually committed it.
I also had to read the book "Trial of the Century, the state of CA v. OJ Simpson" for a class.

A typical deluded black kid from the ghetto who thought that the american dream was to get rich and famous playing sports, appear in a couple of acting gigs to keep money coming, become a has-been broadcaster, move to the suburbs, marry a white woman and forget where you came from.
Big reality check came his white wife reminded him of who he was by seeing another man. All the black came out him then because he killed her and her lover.
But one lesson he did learn from his rich, white friends was that money, power, and influence can get political favors, records sealed, felonies off their kids records, the usual 'white privilege'.
So when he saw how quickly his 'white friends' remembered his blackness, he took that lesson and bought the best lawyers, and had a highly publicized trial, with all the best detectives, expert testimony, the whole nine yards. He gave all America the middle finger by being found not guilty by a jury of his peers, meaning the same upper-crusty snobs who actually believe in fairness, Democracy, and having to be convicted beyond a reasonable doubt.
A hard lesson learned for society who hated the fact that some ghetto punk could use their exclusive privilege and beat them at their own game.
