I have a pair of fire belly toads in a 29 gallon long aquarium. I have to set up so that they have a land area and a water area. Is there any other animal that I can put into the aquarium with the toads? I was told that i could put a fire belly newt in with them. Also other thatn crickets what else can you feed them?

I have not kept many amphibians but from observations while I was managing a pet store, the toads and news will do fine together IF the toads are small enough to not swallow the newts. Food other than crickets ... any small insect that moves, if they dont like the taste they will spit the insect out. CAUTION ! Watch out for pesticides if you intend to feed wild caught insects.

No you will no longer get a wart. I even have 7 hearth abdomen toad and have had them for some twelve months. I p.c.. mine up for extra or less 5 minutes an afternoon and play with them. I even have never gotten a wart from them.

I have mine in a 55 gallon tank with 4 anoles & Green tree frogs (not the big kind the will eat the firebellies and the anoles). BUT, watch out because one of my firebellies tryed to eat the others so we had to take that one out.

These will eat earthworms (red wigglers) and mealworms. Big ones might tank a pinky mouse. They shouldn't be kept with any other herps: http://www.frogdaze.com/fire_bellies.htm
